We got rain finally!

We got 1.5" of rain! I guess we got too much as the water is running off the field. The ice storm in mid-January might have soaked the soil. The water is brown as well -- probably from the manure that has sit on the ground. The grass is growing well too. Some more lambs were born today as well. We did lose a lamb too. Might have been scours or something. I might pen them up next week and poke around at them. Some of the calves have been breaking out probably because I didn't keep the fence charged for a few days. The dogs are for sale. They are trained on sheep and will protect them from predators. If you train enough of them they will train each other. You have to watch them closely at first and bark at them when they do something wrong until they figure out what you want. Saturday February 14th, 2026 4:45 PM
