Webe and I made our debut in rally novice be today under judge Marjorie West. And I think we were successful. His score was 99 for a second place and a toy. This trial was the Sandia Obedience Club's trial in Albuquerque May 8, 2015. Webe was one day shy of being 6 1/2 months old. It was his first time inside other than a little bit of training one Sunday afternoon at the Cal Ranch Feed Store so I wasn't sure just how he'd react. It was also his first big "road trip" since we flew to AZ from Wisc. when I brought him home from the breeder. He handled it all very well. On Sunday we competed again and scored a 97. He was generally as focused and happy but on the fast, which was the last station, he was getting wound up and excited and was at the end of his 6 foot leash and my arm was fully extended as well. A little out of position deduction? LOL He also did a few kangaroo leaps between two of the signs - he's a very happy dog. He generally loves to please (but he can also be very pushy and want his own way) and while he looks at life as an adventure full of fun things to do he can be very "serious" when he works. Webe is formally known as Dunham Lake Sticky Beak. (Sticky Beak is an Australian "term" for being nosey, sticking your nose where it doesn't belong - - and oh boy does it fit him.)
