Discover METER sensors: https://www.metergroup.com/en/meter-environment/products Learn more: https://www.metergroup.com/en/meter-environment/products/drain-gauge-g3-lysimeter-deep-drainage Leo Rivera discusses the latest advances in lysimeter technology and teaches about the advantages of newer instrument design. Join Leo Rivera as he discusses: - History of Lysimeters - Zero tension problems - Static tension Lysimeter - Passive capillary Lysimeter - Improvements to PCAP's - Controlled tension Lysimeter - Matching field water dynamics - And more. Presenter: Leo Rivera is research scientist and Director of Scientific Outreach at METER Group. He earned his undergraduate degree in Agriculture Systems Management at Texas A&M University where he also got his Master’s degree in Soil Science. There, he helped develop an infiltration system for measuring hydraulic conductivity used by the NRCS in Texas. Currently, Leo is the force behind application development in METER’s hydrology instrumentation including HYPROP and WP4C.
