Asterisk is used like a swiss army knife for one of our client's video platform. In this low-budget project, multiple asterisk servers with rich functionalities were deployed to address the need for voicemail, audio conferencing, call routing, black listing, ISDN-gateway and more for the video platform. Currently, the undergoing project for the same client is to use Asterisk as the webRTC gateway. Asterisk server with multiple embedded codecs succeeded where products from other vendors had failed to integrate to our client’s video platform.
