Week 13 | AI Tools, New Features & GeoForge Launch

This week’s Geo Community Call on April 20 focused on product updates, curator workflows, and standout contributions from the community. Arturas walked through recent submissions across crypto, AI, and health, including AdChain profiles, AI video tools, and new topic hierarchies. A major highlight was Pierrick’s open-sourced Geo Coder explorer, a powerful local tool that allows contributors to create and manage entities before publishing to Geo. Preston shared new product updates designed to improve onboarding and usability. These included a collapsible sidebar for easier navigation, an Explore feed for discovering content, a governance tab for managing proposals, and an early version of an AI assistant trained on Geo documentation. Future iterations aim to support publishing operations and fixing data directly. The team also introduced dataset spaces, which are designed for faster experimentation with more flexible governance. A key discussion point was improving workflows by breaking large bounties into smaller weekly tasks, making progress more consistent and manageable. Kevin shared progress on a decentralized drug database, mapping ingredients to products, brands, and clinical data. Pierrick also demoed his Geo Coder explorer, showing how local-first workflows can streamline building and importing structured data into Geo. Adam introduced GeoForge, a new weekly community challenge encouraging curators to publish consistently, contribute to shared spaces, and earn rewards for high-quality work.
