Many confusions arise in the minds of QC personnel, engineers and inspectors regarding limits and ranges for which the welder has been qualified to such as if a welder has done welding of 'x' mm then upto how much thickness he can weld or if a welder has taken test in 4G or 3G position then, in which position he will be qualified to weld at site etc. These questions are confusing and remains unanswered because of the lack of knowledge.
