Westport Gym

A visit to Westport gym in Westport, Oregon. Originally attached to the old Westport school, it was preserved when the school was removed to make way for a new school building. After the Westport school was shut down, the property was purchased for use as the Westport Community Church. It's been quite some time since I have visited the gym and am pleasantly surprised with how well it has been preserved. I, along with others in the community spent many hours in the gym playing basketball. The original full length wooden bleachers have been reduced to one small section, but the refinished floor looks good. I was also able to access the locker rooms in the basement and found the tour brought back many memories.
