While I'm working on the machine, I still have orders to fill and fabric to dye, so I'm not letting it sit idle! I hook up a variable speed drill and chuck it directly to the drive gear. I learned a lot from this video, but probably the most important point is that even though I beefed up the rollers from the first prototype, the wet fabric is heavy enough to deform them so the dye isn't penetrating the way I want it to (through solid contact the whole width of the fabric.)
