There was a moment the first few days of tracking Different Talking that we weren’t sure if we would be able to record to tape. The tape machine kept cutting in and out on certain tracks, and the tape was shedding. We ordered a new reel of tape in the mail in hopes that the issue was the reel and not the machine. This was the moment of truth when we tested out recording to the new reel, and learned that the machine was in working condition.
