There isn't a lot of guidance in school as far as what to expect working as an engineer. It may not be exactly what you think it is so I think it's important to manage expectations. This is my experience thus far and I hope you get something out of it. Remember everyone has different experiences so I urge any students or young engineers to see what other peoples' experiences are as well. (P.S. Sorry for the lag at the end)
