A concrete catchpit is a used within the pipeline system to prevent silt and debris from building up in the wastewater drainage system and causing blockages and reduce the danger of flooding.
Unlike soakaways and headwalls, which release water, catchpits collect the debris and silt and stop it going into the drainage system.
Where are catchpits used?
Installed in mainline sewers, housing estates, railways, carparks, commercial areas and catchpits are an important part of our water management systems
