WHAT IS DRAG? | SLIP STREAM EXPLAINED
In this video, we tell you what exactly drag is and how it originates. We also talk about the different types of drag- skin friction drag and pressure drag and how they are different from each other. Pressure drag contributes as the major source of drag in bluff bodies (i.e bodies that are not streamlined). But, drag is not always a bad thing- slipstreaming is a trick used in many sports to reduce their energy losses due to drag- from formula 1, to speed skating, and even competitive cycling. Drag is also used to generate power in wind driven turbines and and for propulsion in sail yachts. Hey!
