Live Streaming is about capturing a live event and making it available online for your viewers on their desktop, tables, and phones.
Does live streaming always have to be live? Not necessarily.
- Segments of your live stream may contain a video presentation.
- Pre-roll videos - videos shown before the live event
- Post-roll videos - videos shown after the live event
- VOD (Video on Demand) - are pre-recorded videos that are streamed
- Playlists - some broadcasters use a playlist of videos to live stream
The common thread to live streaming and VOD (video on demand) is that they use the same live streaming technology.
