RNA (Ribonucleic Acid) is a nucleic acid which is involved in protein synthesis. It is a macromolecule made up of smaller subunits called nucleotides. There are four different nucleotides (A,U,C,G). RNA is different to DNA in that it contains the nucleotide with the base Uracil (U) instead of Thymine (T) and RNA molecules are single-stranded.
