What Jesus Asks of Us (Summarized under Faith, Love, and Action) 1. Faith — Trust and Believe in Him Believe in Jesus as the Son of God (John 6:29) Repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15) Jesus first calls us to have faith: to trust in him, turn from our old ways, and believe the good news of God's kingdom. 2. Love — Love God and Love People Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37) Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39) Show love by obeying his commandments (John 14:15) Love is central — both toward God and toward other people. Obedience to Jesus’ teachings is an expression of this love. 3. Action — Follow, Grow, and Share Deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow him (Luke 9:23) Bear fruit by living a God-honoring life (John 15:8) Make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19–20) Faith and love must lead to action: living out Jesus' example, growing spiritually, and helping others to know him.
