What's a Chordioid?

I'm taking a step outside of the kind of video I usually make this time to talk about a subject that I've seen very little info on online: Chordioids. That is, three note chords that don't fit neatly into our typical tertiary harmonic model. I'm almost positive that the term 'chordioid' means something completely different than how I use it here, but the little that I found online on the term was extremely vague and I wanted one nice word that I could use for the video. Hopefully I didn't ruffle your music-theory-terminology jimmies.
