Team factory solves can be done with any number of cubes and at least 2 people. In this case we use 2 cubes and 2 people. Each time we complete a step in the solve, we swap cubes before we do the next step and so on. In this video we swapped after each of the following steps: Inspection (not usually done but we did tracing to be extra) 1st centre, 2nd centre, 1st cross edge, 2nd cross edge, 3rd cross edge, 3rd centre, 4th centre, Last 2 centres, Last cross edge, 3 edges, 2 edges, 3 edges, 1st pair, 2nd pair, 3rd pair, 4th pair, OLL, PLL. What is OPA? OPA stands for OLL Parity Avoidance and is a category of methods used on 4x4 to, as the name implies, avoid OLL Parity during the 3x3 stage. It involves tracing the edges during inspection to determine if the cube is in an odd or even state, then solving the 4x4 while counting your inner quarter slice turns to ensure that by the time you reach the 3x3 stage the cube is in an even state (and therefore you won't get parity). In this video we tell each other what cube state our 4x4 is currently in as we give it to the other person so we can keep track of our inner quarter slice turns while swapping cubes.
