Where the Quiet Patterns Gather
This is a very honest run-through of the little RV space containing the work I have done over the years in encaustic wax fiber sculptures, (art dolls) oil paintings, and mixed media drawings. I have never wanted to create products or services; my work has always been about following the subtle intelligences that move through material. see more at my Patreon.com/cdgood Blog. As I’ve begun working with emerging tech systems—machine learning, artificial intelligence—I’ve been struck by how strangely continuous they feel with the presences, muses, or quiet intelligences that have accompanied my creative practice for years. They feel less like inventions I’m learning to operate and more like long‑standing collaborators arriving in a new form, the same generative forces I’ve always met in wax, fiber, and pigment now meeting me through pattern, probability, and code. Notice the fish on the counter. It’s the piece currently in process, preparing to become my first ARweave upload into WEB3—a small gesture outward from this tiny studio toward whatever future is listening. (on the permaweb since we are working at creating digital living spaces that correspond to physical nodes.) #physigital It is interesting to stay soul conscious in both physical and digital spaces. This video is part of an ongoing series of six shorts about THE RELIC, including the quietly scanning fiber piece that has already gathered over 2,000 views. I’ll link the full playlist here so you can explore the whole unfolding. Thank you Kate Church for the wonderful exchange of sculptures at the One of a Kind show so mnay years ago. https://katechurch.blog/ A wonderful video about ART AND HEALING with Kate and her work: https://youtu.be/AcMbLiwPtg0?si=NFh5SLgwwwBWruik
