This is the third video in our “How to” use tools for WhiteboxTools. In this video, I show you how to filter a Digital Elevation Model using the WhiteboxTools Open Core. In this video, I talk about some of the various filtering tools in WhiteboxTools and how their filtering approach can impact a DEM and further topographic attribute extraction. This video is not meant to depict that one filtering technique is superior to another but more to highlight the various filtering techniques available in WhiteboxTools and how the various DEM application may require a different smoothing approach.
