Microprocessors and the Fourth Generation of Computers: Microprocessors revolutionized computing, enabling PCs like Altair 8800 (1975) and IBM PC (1981). Graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and the Internet expanded computer capabilities. Advances in Modern Computing: Fifth-generation computers focused on AI and parallel processing. Laptops, smartphones, and portable devices emerged. Cloud computing, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) transformed computing.
