Clinical Coding is the process by which clinical documentation is used to categorise and qualify the complexity of care a patient receives. Coding Matters is an educational campaign designed to educate medical staff in public hospitals to improve their clinical documentation to better inform accurate clinical coding. This has several important outcomes which will benefit staff, patients and the organisation.
