Why Do People Hate Vecna?

So, Vecna from Stranger Things is HERE. And he’s… really cool actually. Much better than Springtrap for my money, and basically my favorite killer release they have done SINCE ghoul and lich. His power is cinematic, flashy, and pretty fitting for such a… “powerful” being… while also being fun to play and play against. That last part might put me in the hot seat tho, as the response to Vecna has been surprisingly mixed. I’ve heard takes all over the place, from him being too strong, too weak, too boring, too uninteractive, etc. This is amplified by the fact that most survivor mains are babies and Vecna is EVERYWHERE. So I’m going to cut through the silence, and basically examine Vecna with a fine-tooth comb. I’m going to cut deep into what he does, I’m not gonna do surface level power descriptions in this video, I’m actually going into implication. I’m going to explain why I like and enjoy him, and how he pushes the design space of ranged killers forward, while also explaining his flaws and how to fix them in the future.
