The Pleading was a musical project co-founded by Cease Owens that ran from 2006 to 2019 — thirteen years of raw, unflinching rock fueled by Cease's intimately personal lyrics and brought to life by a tight-knit collective of Nashville-area musicians: Anderson Layne Brandon Sather Jeff Strader Justin Peaytt Matthew Robinson Tyler Baxter While online streaming has come to an end, select tracks are now preserved exclusively on YouTube — a permanent home for the music that meant so much to so many. For the collectors: a limited number of physical CDs remain for both the full-length album Decay and the Atrophy EP. If you want one, reach out while supplies last — these won't be around forever.
