In this video, I explain why survival simulation is not necessary for creating better AI. I started with a complex environment containing states like hunger, hydration, fatigue, temperature, money, weather, and position tracking, but eventually reduced it down to only a few essential states. The result was a simpler and more focused learning setup, showing that adding more survival mechanics does not automatically create more intelligent agents.
