Why do we stop learning?
Ego
“Ego says: ‘I already know enough.’
Once ego takes over, curiosity dies.”
Example:
We stop listening, because listening feels like losing.
Fear of being wrong
“Being wrong feels uncomfortable.
So we avoid new information.”
Example:
Instead of saying ‘I might be wrong,’ we double down on old beliefs.
Comfort over truth (Most voted)
“Truth often requires effort and change.
Comfort is easy.”
Example:
It’s easier to believe what aligns with us than to question ourselves.
Comfort feels safe — but it stops growth.
