Will be in the Bay Area for a bit planting some seeds and helping them grow. Feeling the carry over of inspiration from Lighting in a Bottle. The experience definitely gave me a fire to carry home and explore. I had a close call at LIB where I nearly caused some damage through becoming overwhelmed in a dangerous situation where I was in charge of safety. A surreal moment where I added fuel to a flame and had to adjust my error quickly in order to avoid further fire. I am so blessed that no serious disaster ensued, but the lapse of awareness will forever live on as a lesson in my memory. It springs into my present moment as a haunting paralysis, stunning me in a powerless replay. In the past I might curl into a ball and berate myself for failure and for nearly causing harm, turning the harm into something I inflict on myself as a lesson. I've instead fallen into my hoop practice for guidance. Since I picked up a hula hoop I've begun to divine new ways to know myself. Witnessing, forgiving and owning my errors immediately in order to absorb the lessons quickly and move on. Witnessing the dance between my body and the world around me. Often while hooping I feel as though I am connecting to a point of possibility. Taking a chance, tempting a fall and taking a ride. There are always opportunities in my presence to create magic and mayhem. To align with a dance in the moment creating newly centered and inspired forms. To learn and adapt now in a continuum of transition that evolves reality's designs infinitum. Through the hula hoop and in every medium through which we stimulate life, we learn and create by forgiving ourselves, bringing love into our senses, hearing the lesson, appreciating the humor and flowing forward. I've decided I must love life in order to live it. My father passed away last week and it still feels wrong to say he's gone. Dan, the wild man. He lives on in everything now. His 4 laws to life: 1. You Exist. 2. The One is All and All are One. 3. What you put out is what you get back. 4. The only constant is change, except the first 3 laws which never change. He's out there in the deep sea that unifies all beings. Rooting me on. Supporting my growth. Watching out for me as I flow into new territory. Grateful to be on this circular path.
