Jennie Rayment shows you how to weave with a wiggle ... in fabric or felt or indeed why not try it in paper? If you are worried about fabric fraying then use a decorative stitch and sew over all the raw edges - follow the weaving pattern. If you look at the red/green cushion you can see the decorative stitching that I did over the raw edges.
