Wild Rice was a staple diet for many Native Americans along the Great Lakes. It takes some getting used too and is high in carbs and low calories. High Iron content helps with anemia, relieves fatigue and boosts energy.
The ingredients are:
1/2 cup wild rice
1 cup white rice
2 bay leaf
4 sprigs thyme
1/2 cup diced carrot
2 cloves chopped garlic
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
4 diced pimento peppers
Salt and black pepper to taste
All purpose seasoning
1 tbs oil
