So it really frustrates me when people will exclaim with pride how they have "never learned any music theory and are doing just fine!" But, at the same time, I can't be too mad at them becasue from the outside, music theory does seem complicated, gatekeep-y, and sometimes downright useless.
MUSIC THEORY FUN01 is a new series that will help you finally understand music theory and how to apply it to your own music, by showing how fun and exciting musical analysis can be!
Join me, Poly Rhythm, and Gregory N. Chant, as we go step by step through the basics of western music theory. We will talk about great examples of music, why they work, and how you can take what you like from those pieces and use it to enhance your own writing!
