Played on lefty banjo # 187 for Abagail.
Walnut neck, slotted peghead and fifth peg, 25” scale length, Weymann style 2 gold MoP inlays (had to slightly modify the appearance of the upper inlay to fit within the bounds of the fingerboard) gold MoP side dots (meant to show them), goatskin head stained with crushed walnut hulls (thanks to the squirrels for the “discards”), and finally a larger canteen gourd stained with an oil-base walnut stain to darken it some and finally lacquer finished.
Tuning it up, it occurred to me to try something in dulcimer tuning or triple C (well, triple A in this case), along with bumping the fifth down to C# . I started playing this one and decided to go with it.
