Ken Schmidt knew he could build a better scanner, one that could analyze water samples in the field but still provide lab-quality results. After several prototypes, he turned to ACAMP, the Alberta Center for Micro and Nano Products, for help. ACAMP helped Ken develop the light source he needed to make the device, known as a Quat Box, acheive the desired results.
