Windows error OC007B Error Part 1
Nothing is worse than launching your favorite game only to find that the game crashes with the OC007B error. I have spent few months working on this issue. I searched the internet as well as even contacting Microsoft. This video takes your through various steps to help you resolve this issue. If you don't feel comfortable doing this procedure, ask questions and if that is still the case you may want to seek other assistance. It is always important to have backups or at least copies of the game. This error can be caused by C+, the Microsoft dot net, or Direct X issues. The game I am working on in this example is the former Falcon 4.0 that has been updated by fans and now known as Falcon BMS. I hope this video can help you because my channel is all about helping you do stuff and things. I have reached out game developers as well with not much help. Here is my way to go about fixing this. You can try them in any order. They are listed from easiest to more challenging fixes. First if you can, uninstall and re-install the game. You can try windows compatibility mode, try to run with older windows and also try running the game as admin. Next, you may want to run a chkdisk /f in the command prompt. You can try to run Windows update. Go cmd again and put in SFC /scannow. This will check the integrity of the system files. Next try DISM /online /cleanup-image in time stamp 05:36. Run update in place using a Microsoft windows image inside windows. Next run the DXdiag tool, try uninstalling and re-installing drict x. You can try to uninstall the dot net and c+ libraries. Download the direct X files and place them into the game dictory. I also talked about how to get this to work on steam games. The video provides all of the details on how to do these. If this helped, please let me know.
