WINSAFE BMWP Installation

This training video demonstrates the installation of WINSAFE's Boiler Maintenance Work Platform (BMWP), a system designed for maintenance work in a coal-fired power plant boiler. The modular boiler access platform creates a complete "dance floor" at the bull nose elevation in a SINGLE SHIFT -- about 8 hours -- significantly reducing the time spent erecting scaffolding to get to the maintenance elevation. The platform is assembled by launching a network of trusses from outside the boiler through doors. Launchers and receivers are attached to structural steel. Once this framework is complete, a starter deck is passed through a boiler opening, then workers tie off and lay deck until a full dance floor is complete. Scaffolding can be built on top the platform and climbers can be hung below to allow work to be performed simultaneously in both areas.
