Plot 163a is an extension to plot 163b, giving us more space to grow food on a small scale.
The allotment is overgrown with brambles. Lots of cutting back and maintenance needs doing. To avoid overwhelm and allow the observation process to take place, I am applying the permaculture principle, Small and Slow solutions.
This simply means I am taking it one step at a time, starting with one area and not worrying about the rest just yet. My plan is to start to Obtain A Yield and build soil at the same time, by growing potatoes.
First this small patch needs the bramble roots removing. This is not my usual method, preferring no dig but that will follow later as a more permanent technique, when there are no brambles to worry about.
