The engine / transmission cooler on the closed cooled system on the ilmor engine is apart of the coolant side so you do not have to pull the drain plug.
The thermostat is apart of the closed cooled side so you do not have to warm the engine all the way
Open cooled system
You have to warm the engine up. Drain all water. Then run the antifreeze. This will take a lot more antifreeze to achieve the same procedure
