Wolf pits were used to trap wolves, which were a serious problem for forest grazing cattle.
The wolf was common throughout Sweden until the 20th
century The wolf pit consists of cold-walled cobblestones and
has a diameter of 4 meters and is 4 meters deep.
In the 13th century, it became the law it was to be fought, this law expired in 1864.
The wolf pits can thus be from the Middle Ages but are usually from the 1700-1800s.
The wolf pit is protected under the Antiquities Act.
