In this wood turning video, I have a scout about on my bike to hopefully search out some root balls. Dead fall trees are usually where I source most of the wood I turn, and these two pieces I found while biking will be stored for a year or so to dry out. The piece I turn in this video is from a Sycamore tree and turned pretty good considering how gnarly it was, as usual the sanding was a lot of work and probably took longer than the turning did !! I finished it with Danish oil..
