Work flow for digitizing Part 1

In this series of videos, I will go through the work flow I used to digitize a bunny design from a photo. It should give you a guide as to how to approach your digitizing projects. It was done in V9 Designer Plus of the Bernina software, but also applies to previous versions of the software and the Creator level. In the videos I mention that you can get the image and the PDF summary from my website. I have since closed my website. Define your project. What are you embroidering on: • Fabric type • Size • Laundering requirements. 2. Gather your artwork. 3. Load your artwork into the software and size it. 4. Save your design. 5. Apply a Fabric setting if necessary. 6. Create a thread palette. 7. Plan your embroidery. It may help to have a printed copy of your artwork that you can annotate it. I. Identify the objects you will create. II. Decide on stitch types and angles. III. Plan the stitch order. 8. Create your objects. If you are trying a new technique in a particular object, you may wish to test sew just that part of the design before moving on. 9. Check that your stitch order is logical. 10. Move start and end points and add pathing runs where necessary. 11. Test sew using the same fabric, thread and stabilizer you will use in the final product. 12. Make any edits, and test sew again.
