This workshop is the first of two in a series that will explore community based evaluation. A community based approach to evaluation can help evaluation be more meaningful and support community projects in their ability to adapt during disruptive and uncertain times. Community based evaluation is participatory, equity-focused and action-oriented. The Center for Community-Based Research (CCBR) has developed a community-based evaluation framework consisting of 4 phases and 11 steps that will be discussed during these workshops.
The first workshop will focus on the first two phases of this framework:
*Phase One: Laying the Foundation. This phase will help identify your stakeholders, assumptions about evaluation, evaluation purpose, and Theory of Change.
*Phase Two: Evaluation Planning. This phase will assist you in determining the guiding questions and tools necessary for gathering the information you need for evaluation.
