Writing Progress Review #11

Content warning: occasional profanity. This episode arrives a tad late, as Michael had a scheduling issue on Monday, our usual recording day, and I took a little longer to get the edit done as well. We've also reversed our trend of ever-longer conversations, with this one clocking in at a svelte 30 minutes. Other work has been a factor for both of us since our last update. Michael is currently in Northern Italy, tasting and writing about wine (which is a lot less glamorous than it sounds), so he gets to tease me about the differences in our weather. Regular work for me was complicated by the Great Spice Reorganization of 2026. Then we get to progress. I continue to make progress on editing at the same frustratingly slow pace as the last update. Michael complicates his writing life by starting another story. Uncharacteristically, we pretty much stay on track with this, moving to setting goals for the next two weeks. We move on to last week's hook: what we do when writing while travelling. Michael relates an interesting superstition. My mini-rant of the week is on pens, and this gives us the question for next week: What do we like to write with and why.
