In this episode, I visit the famous and enigmatic ancient site of Wupatki in Arizona. This ancient site is a Chacoan outlier, complete with Chaco trade routs, T doors, and the remains of 53 scarlet macaws from Mexico! Wupatki was a seat of power in its time. Wupatki sits right near a volcano, Sunset Crater, which erupted in 1085AD. At first the local population fled, but within a few years returned, as the volcanic ash left a nutrient dense soil that allowed agriculture to flourish in the area. The site of Wupatki also boasts a ball court which I discuss the spiritual significance of in great length. This is a long video, but an important one, as it discusses archeological finds and Mexican connections that are never discussed online. I hope you enjoy.
