This tool was written by Tim Edwards (http://opencircuitdesign.com/~tim/). In this series of tutorials, you will learn how to use xcircuit to draw nice-looking circuit diagrams. Please do see the video description of each video. About me: https://maktoomi4.blogspot.com/p/tutorials.html and https://www.scranton.edu/academics/cas/physics-eeng/faculty/maktoomi.shtml Some useful Keyboard shortcuts: x: to deselect an object (put the cursor on the selected object and type x) m: for making an object. Used when creating your own library l: component menu (type-in l couple of times, it will cycle through the different component menus) Esc: to come out of the component menu z: zoom out shift+z: zoom in v: zoom-fit and center - : use the minus sign on a keyboard for reducing the grid spacing. shift + +: Hold down the shift key and hit the positive sign couple of times on a keyboard for increasing the grid spacing. d: Put the cursor on some object and press d button to delete that object. u: to undo things c: Put the cursor on some object and press c button to copy that object. shift+lef click: to choose an object or to end commands such as wiring command. Press the shift button and while keeping it pressed (that is hold down the shift key), draw a rectangle around an object/or around a group of objects to select that entire group (called creating rubberband) e: Hover over the mouse on some object/text and press e button to start editing the same. t: start writing text | (vertical bar symbol) : to get some symbols. To get more symbol Text-Font-Symbol and now press the vertical bar on the keyboard (which appears with a forward slash). If don't need to type in any more symbols go back again to the text mode- Text-Font-Helvetica . (that is, a period): Used to show interconnected objects. Hover over a node and type in a period to show interconnection.
