XML Part 1: Context and Relationship to HTML

In this video Prof. Patterson introduces XML in the context of User Interface design and juxtaposed against HTML. A brief history of HTML is introduced and the syntax of XML is shown. The coevolving relationship of XML and HTML is explained. This video is used in courses taught by Prof. Donald J Patterson (@djp3) at UC Irvine and Westmont College.
