Year 1 A Level / AS Maths. In this video we are showing how logs may be used to deal with non-linear data sets. The table of data given is being modelled by Y = aX^n. The method involves taking the log of both variables and plotting a straight line graph. The straight line confirms that the equation modelling the data is correct and the gradient/intercept of the straight line allows us to find the values of the constants a and n
