Year 13/A2 Pure Chapter 11.8A (Integration)
This lesson returns to the first year of the course where we saw how integration can be applied to find the exact areas underneath and between curves. We can now do more of the same, now we know more integration techniques! In fact, we know so much more that I have split 11.8 into two parts. Here, Part A focuses on finding areas using integration when integrals are given in a "standard" form, whereas Part B looks specifically at finding areas underneath curves when those functions are expressed parametrically. This lesson is meant as preparation for Exercise 11H, page 315 of the Pearson Edexcel Pure Mathematics Year 2/A2 Textbook.
