We've been working non-stop on a brand new way to play: Yeeps Horror. Travel through any of the red portals and you'll be dropped into the new official Horror Levels, each with their own unique threats and challenges! Horror is best experienced as a surprise, so we won't reveal too much about what's in them. All we can say is stay together, keep your flashlights on, and expect the unexpected... 👀 If you're too scared of jumpscares, you can disable them in the game settings. Horror is all about limiting your options, so you won't be able to use functional gadgets here. Some things like cameras and detectors are still available. Simply tap behind your head to expand your hidden imagination. There will be 10 Horror Levels in total. The first 5 are out today and more will come on Oct. 16th! 🕸️ Horror Tech Web When you beat a level, you'll unlock a new row on the Horror Tech Web. This tech web has a mix of limited-time items which will only be available during the Halloween Event and permanent items. We did this to ensure that we can still have fun Halloween-themed items, but make important building blocks and such available year-round. 🛠️ Build Your Own Horror Levels Got an awesome idea for your own horror levels with crazy twists? You can build them too! We know you’ll create some truly inspiring levels (some probably scarier than even our own), which is why we added a new Community Worlds Category: Horror! You can choose whether or not to allow items with the new "No Items" rule. Plus, more is coming on October 16th, so let us know what else you want to see in this event! 🔦 New Flashlights We always thought it was impossible to have dynamic lighting in Yeeps. But thanks to a lot of hard work, it's finally here! Flashlights are super fun to use and make horror maps way more spooky and interactive. Since Flashlights are such a unique item, we've tied them to the Flashlight Mode block so builders can decide where players have access to them. This way, they're always accessible on your hip without needing your imagination! 🌘 New Spooky Lighting Presets For the first time, you can remove sunlight from your maps! Switch your map's lighting to Pitch Black or Haunted House and experience a total blackout. With this lighting, the only light sources are emissive blocks and flashlights. 🚪 New Doors, Decorations, and Textured Blocks You'll notice the new Horror Levels are full of new blocks, decorations, textured blocks, and more. And they're all available for you to use too! Most are on the Horror Tech Web, but be sure to check out the Props Tech Web for the rest. Some highlights include: Doors with handles including locked variants and keys Textured blocks like Brick, Hardwood Floor, Wallpaper, Carpet, and more Tons of candles and new light blocks 🎃 Halloween Event Begins The gnomes have been hard at work decorating every official map for Halloween — including the OG 3!
