YGP SECTION IKOPA MADAGASCAR One of the classics in Madagascar is the YGP section of the Ikopa, about 13mi of big water through boulder gardens. Although traditionally done with less water, opening up more of the main rapids, it has a unique blend. At these flows although some of the main rapids were too stout to run, it opened up smaller creek channels around the main rapids, Creating an interesting blend of big water and some small volume rapids. The big water lines had plenty of huge features, and the smaller lines were plenty technical. Sitting not much higher than sea level it was insanely hot, but an epic day checking out this classic!
