You Just Gotta Do It

It's Friday again, and as always that means a new song! This week I decided to try my hand at Vaporwave again using my Ensoniq SQ-2 (Which broke right after finishing this song). I've been trying to program less and rather record me playing the parts and quantizing it later, and I feel like it gives it a very different vibe. Maybe not as stiff? As always with this type of slowed down music, I did a bit of testing once I had the main idea to see if it would work slowed down, and what ammount of time stretching would work best. I usually start at increasing the length of the song by one third since I feel like that usually works pretty well. And that worked for this song too, giving the sounds a more dreamy feel and making the drums sound huge without losing any punch! Since my Ensoniq SQ-2 broke (which I have used on many songs, including many of my covers) this song is dedicated to it! It was made in 1991-1992 and has had some issues this last year.
