In this video, I will show you 3 different levels of flappy bird game. Each one gets more complicated than the last to make a full game that looks exactly like flappy bird. In each level, I will cover how I made it, as well as pointing out the good and bad features. This is useful for anyone looking to understand the basics of game development and to really see what can be done in scratch.
The final game is very close to the original flappy bird recreated simply in scratch.
Any of the games would be a great school project or assignment or could even be fun as a personal project when learning scratch. I think this video could be useful for people who already have a general understanding of scratch as it shows how you can go from a very basic game, into something perfect in just a few little tweaks. Additionally, this video demonstrates an iterative design process that will help you build better games by continually improving your work.
If you want to see exactly how to make this game, please check out the full tutorial on this. In this video, I illustrate the main changes, but its not really in depth enough to be able to build a full game from it but by all means use it as inspiration
