YouTube's New Monetization Rules (2018) WHAAAAT?!!

Why YouTube's new monetization rules for creators are a really really bad idea, and provide enormous disincentive for the creators of highly specific informational content. To save money, YouTube is killing the essence of what made it so powerful and revolutionary, and turning the content of small players into a stage of creators groveling for subscribers.
